Embroidery Machine Operator – Job Description
An Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for running commercial embroidery machines to produce high-quality custom apparel. This role involves setting up designs, threading machines, selecting thread colors, hooping garments, and monitoring production to ensure every piece meets our quality standards.
What the Job Includes
- Setting up and operating multi-head embroidery machines
- Hooping shirts, hats, jackets, and other garments correctly
- Loading designs, selecting thread colors, and adjusting settings
- Monitoring machines during production to ensure smooth operation
- Performing quality checks to make sure stitching is clean and accurate
- Trimming threads, finishing garments, and preparing orders for pickup
- Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and production-ready
- Helping with general shop tasks when needed (filing garments, packing orders, etc.)
What Makes Someone Great at This Job
- Attention to detail — catching small mistakes before products go out
- Ability to work efficiently and stay focused during production runs
- Comfortable standing for periods of time and lifting boxes of apparel
- Experience with embroidery machines is a plus, but we can train the right person
